I went on the tools in 2008 and set up on my own in 2013. It's still me who answers the phone most days, and it's me or one of my two engineers who comes out.

We stay inside Leeds and Wakefield deliberately. If a job needs a second visit we're twenty minutes away, not the other side of the county.

Do you charge to come out and look?

Not for quotes - bathrooms, boilers and pipework are quoted free with no obligation. Repairs are £85 for the first hour, and we tell you that before we set off.

How quickly can you get to me?

Ring before about 2pm and we can usually reach a no-heat or no-water job the same day. Everything else is normally within two working days.

Are you actually Gas Safe registered?

Registration 512847 - you can check it on the Gas Safe Register site before we come. Ask to see the card on the doorstep; we'd rather you did.

What if the job turns out bigger than expected?

We stop and tell you. You get a revised price and decide whether to carry on. We never keep going and hand you a bill you didn't agree to.

Will you tidy up after yourselves?

Dust sheets down, boots off or covers on, and everything we take out goes with us. It's the thing we get thanked for most, which says a lot about the trade.
